Our program encompasses a dynamic group of young women who enjoy physical activity, sport and developing new skills. At UTWFF, we offer women at the University of Toronto with the opportunity to learn and play flag football in an authentic intercollegiate league. Our amazing coaching staff is made up of members of the Varsity Blues Men’s Football team and have been vital to our past success, which includes a tournament championship. Off the football field, we create an environment in which players and coaches learn new facets of the growing sport, build leadership skills, and create lifelong friendships.
This year, we are entering into our sixth season and continue to see a growth in women’s football found in our own intercollegiate program (from under 24 players in our inaugural year in 2010-2011 to now 50+ athletes) as well as in the several intercollegiate tournaments we participate in annually; the University of Toronto Tournament, McMaster Invitational, and the Laurier Letterman Tournament – with over 30 teams and hundreds of athletes in attendance.
We are seeking sponsors for the 2016-2017 season, which will see us travel to the intercollegiate tournaments. A sponsorship would imply a financial donation to help our team with tournament entry fees, jerseys, and travel costs for the season.
